Help needed with transitions

Thanks to whoever is reading this. I'm really enjoying this software so far. It is really easy and intuitive to use.

I'm just having a small problem with the transitions. Example:
When I put a basic transition (ex. crossfade) between two clips the second clip only starts playing when the transition is over. I'm sure there is a simple explanation for it but I just can't figure it out.
I already messed around with the "transition properties"-window but so far with no results. I think it has something to do with the trimmed content but I can't make it work.

Hope somebody can help.

Hello!

You need to choose "Trimmed content" or "Slow motion" in "Transition properties" so that the static frame is not displayed during the transition.

Hi, thanks a lot for your answer. I did exactly what you described yesterday but with no effect.

For some strange reason I tried again this morning and it worked!

I'm really happy with the 10€ I have spent for this program.
