Broken Achievement?

On an achievement binge today and I can't complete

Fury of the Horde
Win a duel controlling at least twenty creatures

I purposefully was holding off killing AI opponent until I had over 20 creatures. I amassed 22 just to be safe - although lots were tokens. Is this achievement glitched? Do they need to be creature spells/cards as opposed to token creatures? Seems a bit ridiculous.

I've earned the achievement, so it's not completely broken. Not sure why you wouldn't have earned it.

I can't remember the exact fight that I got it, but it would've been with the red deck and Hostility's ability to put red token creatures down.

Edit: Though I also earned the Guildmage achievement last night and now it's not showing up on my profile. Maybe you earned it but Steam's slow to update for some reason?

I think its because I don't have the expansion. Just bought the expansion now for £4 so we'll see

I have had a problem with one achievement not registering with this game and with at least 5 games on Steam so far. Whether it will work on a replay is anyone's guess. Also, if one is not playing online (logged into friends) that is rumored to be one cause -- I know I play offline sometimes, not sure if that applies to you or not.

You might be right about the expansion in this case.

I've won many duels while controlling more than twenty creatures without being awarded this achievement. I even made a point to win a game with exactly twenty creatures, to see if that might gain me this achievement, with no success.

Another achievement I've earned, but not received, is "Near-Death Experience
Win a duel with exactly 1 life". I've done that in at least two duels now.

I bought M:TG DotP 2013 about 10 days ago. I hadn't had any earlier versions. For that matter, this is the first game I've bought from Steam. So this problem shouldn't have anything to do with the 2013 expansion, if that is the expansion HandSlander was talking about.

I'm enjoying the game a lot, hadn't played any M:TG since I stopped collecting the cards and playing about 12 years ago. It became a luxury I could no longer afford.

It is a bit disappointing how cludgy the game is, it doesn't always recognize mouse clicks for instance... recognizing when the left mouse button is clicked must be one of the most fundamental things to program into a game, yet they haven't gotten that right???

oKAY I now have 100% of achievements. There are 5 achievements that you can unlock by getting the expansion - however, they really shouldn't show these achievements under the 2013 base game because without the expansion they can't be unlocked and nowhere does it say that.

However, if you play MP then I highly highly recommend this expansion. Its brilliant, the decks are amazing.

Achievements won't unlock if the game has a problem connecting to the Steam server. There's been a few times I earned an achievement and wasn't rewarded it because my internet was down. It phones in before rewarding.
