------------
2013 has 30 normal unlockable cards for each deck, and 10 promotional unlocks for each deck from the base game and each deck from the expansion, but not for the decks from the deck pack.
2014 has 30 normal unlockable cards for each deck, and will reportedly have 10 promotional unlocks for each deck, including the decks from the inevitable deck packs.
Decks
---------
2013 currently has more decks, because they've all been released. 2014 only has 10 decks at the moment, because it was only just released. More will be added in the expansion and deck packs later.
Multiplayer
----------------
If you're primarily interested in multiplayer, the old Microprose game doesn't have it. Also, the 2013 multiplayer community will dry up pretty quickly now that 2014 is out.
All in all, 2014 looks like the better choice for you. And just the base game.
Cheerio.
