If you like magic it can be fun it is designed at people who know nothing about magic up to people that know alot about the game sometimes if you know the rules it can be a little annoying waiting for certain trigers but other then that it is a great and fun version of magic that anyone can pick up and play fairly quickly. The complete bundle i believe gives you all decks, all cards and all foils. It is worth noting that foils have no impact on game just look shinny in game so this is a preference and will not effect game play if you have it or not. also all card unlocks can be unlocked for free within game by playing although this can take a little time it does not take too long so you may find you dont need that either the essential stuff is the game and deck packs as the deck packs get you a few good decks to use but again are not essential.

In my opinion i would not get complete bundle but grab the game and deck packs (the gold budle) and maybe the keys if you dont have the time to unlock cards. Hope this helps.

The multiplayer is a buggy mess imo, and after you unlock the decks that's really the only reason to play. I wouldn't recommend giving this company your money until they fixed these problems.

There are bugs but the multiplayer still works the vast majority of the time; it's easy to find a game and most bugs are very minor. It's difficult to find a better value for the price. This is probably the best game I've played, and there's also a strong modding community that has made 100+ decks that are mostly awesome (although you can't play these multiplayer unless you are playing against someone who has the same mods that you have - so basically you have to arrange it with a friend).

so basically if i wanted to unlock the mana mystery deck for example i can just play the game to unlock it but the deck packs i have to buy to unlock them?

If you buy the Gold bundle, you'll have all the decks the game offers. The only thing you're missing from the 'complete' bundle are deck unlock keys and foil unlocks. Deck unlock keys cost a dollar each, across 21 decks - so the complete bundle is worth it IF you don't want to unlock the decks manually. But if you just play the decks, every time you win, you'll unlock a card. However, you have to do this 30 times for each deck - so it can take awhile. It's up to you - lots of people like unlocking the decks themselves because you get a better feel for how every card works, but some people find it boring to do it.

The foil unlocks are 100% worthless and should not factor into your decision. All they do is give each card a foiled look (basically, they make it uglier for no reason).

Everyone who bought the Gold Bundle or Complete Bundle can't launch the game right now (Check out the forums, you'll see the topic, it has like 9 pages) so be careful.

GGunOrRAy is right...Steam..you better get this party startet -.-
♥♥♥♥, should have read this before i bought the complete bundle - I thought the deck keys were only available through purchase..
Is there still a way to unlock decks by playing? Can you "uninstall" deck keys? (I don't want everything handed to me first time I play)

I'm not aware of a way to uninstall deck keys. On the plus side, you can start playing online immediately with fully unlocked decks, which is where the best value from the game comes.
