Wich one is better and why?

So first off besides the main modes (1v1 and 2v2 2HG) 2013 has planechase where 2014 has a basic sealed mode. Planechase is a more casual up to 4 player free for all mode that has a plane which alters the game in some way. It includes things like no max hand size, if you succesfully do player damage with a creature you get a land etc. There is a dice you can roll for increasing mana costs (first roll free, 2nd cost 1 etc.) that either does nothing, does an extra efect specific to the plane or switches planes. Personally I like this mode a lot as it is a nice very different kinda wacky game mode. 2014 has sealed which is basically like you do a set of PvE duels to unlock a small pool of cards to do deck building with. I thought this mode was kind of bad as the pool of cards is set and randomized. One player might get more useful legendaries than another. If you want full deckbuilding for a cheapish price magic duels is much better as every player gets the same, larger card pool. DUels is free to play though so either have to grind a bunch or pay dosh.

As for the normal modes personally I think 2013 has much much better balanced decks. 2014 has a few decks that absolutely trounce the others it is rediculous. They added DLC decks which specifically counter those decks (for those who've played the game I'm talking about the human weenie deck was countered by izzet added later). This is alleviated in 2v2 but for 1v1 I think 2014 was kinda bad. 2013 definately has tiers, but nowhere near to the extent of 2014. I also like the 2013 decks more but thats personal preference. 2013 added a lot of interesting decks especially in the DLC consisting of all 2-colour pairs + a pretty cool 5 colour deck.

tldr; I like 2013 better because it's extra mode is more fun and the decks are much closer in power level compared to 2014.

2014 has better menus and music, and attack with all button. Other than that they're pretty much the same. I think most people prefer 2014.

2015 has full deck building too. Duels is just awful, the amount of cards you get when you start is ridiculously small and it takes forever to unlock more. It's free but you pretty much have to spend real money if you wish to properly play it.

2014 has better modding for it.

You can get all the decks from 2010, 2012, 2013 and some from 2015 in it for free. Including online multiplayer.
