I'm looking for a single player card game and was wandering if this has a decent single player aspect to it? Thanks.

I've been enjoying it single player. It has a bunch of fun preconstructed decks with unlockable cards, a campaign (don't expect much in the way of storyline though), and custom matches (2-4 player free for all, 2 headed giant (2 vs 2), and planechase (free for all with special cards that affect the board, really fun alternative game mode).

Does this game have pve that isn't preconstructed decks? I like being able to put together my own decks and then pit then against ai in a casual way.

No, the Duels of the Planeswalker series didn't have deck building until the 2015 edition (though the AI decks have some cards the player doesn't have access to).

Magic Duels also has full deckbuilding and a large selection of cards from recent sets, but one cannot choose which decks the AI will use (and it will always use decks based on the Amhonket set).

That said, while the 2014 edition also has preconstructed decks it also happens to have an active modding community that has added most cards to the game along with an external deck building tool. For the most part the AI is able to understand most of the additional cards so long as one doesn't assign it a deck necessitating crazy complex tactics. Thanks again. I'm looking to be able to battle random ai decks with decks I build myself. Upon winning it would be nice to unlock cards or win them.

From what I read from your posts, the magic duels or 2014 mod might be what I'm looking for. I will look both up.
