We Who Are About To Die

Impressive Cleaving Flagga / 1H Maces too strong
I keep these as Heirloom rather than the Godly weapons, they just make short work of every enemy. When I see an AI spawn with one of these I know I'm in a bind if I don't have one myself ^^

That's for sure. Got lucky and got one early on. Ran around naked with only the "Flagga" decapitating fully armored demi-gods left and right. Took about 3 hours to gain a victory with that character (Criminal). Needs to get bonked with the nerf-stick.

Why does it need nerfing?
they are strong . but i notice they are easily disarm by the AI since its on a chain . i myself started using 2 hand sword this thing is op op i literally beat level 25 dual 1vs1 easy even if they have shield .

Flails are and were designed to defeat shields specifically so whats the problem?

This weapon annd the other chained weapons showcase the physics combat quite well, actually helped me get a much greater understanding and vision of how Jordy's combat physics works in action.

yes its strong and excellent shield circumvent action, but its also unreliable and doesn't really offer required sustainability for long fights
a bit like a joker card. excellent weapon for lower tiers quick advancement and when you see opponent carrying one you better watch your 6 :D

I am finding many things to be strong against the npcs. Be it the two handed, polearm, one handed mace, sword, whatever the case. Because the overhead attack makes everything doable. I dont think there is anything actually overpowered, maybe the animation speed of thrust of some spears.

I believe you are correct here I have grabbed some 1handed swords even and destroyed enemies with Godly shields later in game, When you learn how to use the fighting system a world of damage opens up to you. I still love the Impressive Cleaving Flagga, Watching the thing swing is a joy lol, and it feature very sharp to decapitate. I also think it helped me out alot to use that weapon and see exactly how the mouse and positions of weapon were working this probably lead to a much better understanding therefore better use of all weapons. It is very hard to picture what will happen with polearms and the like because of there size and lack of a swinging end that can display the physics well.

Nope Its just fine :steamsalty::2016watermelon: Something must be wrong with people, its a single player game, nothing is OP

It does deal like.... an absurd amount of damage, especially given how easy it is to hit the head with it. I like em, but I'd still like em if they went from 35 damage to 20

Also you can (and should) still balance a PVE game :P

Flails op?
No cleave, no armor pen, no bonus against unarmored parts
The higher chance for disarms can be unreliable for sustained battles/ 1vMany situations
Never had a problem facing ai with these since they always loose them then proceed to do dumb stuff like picking up a vase
I mean they're still great but they definitely have their downsides/ other weapons do the job just as good or even better in certain situations

Its just a fun and goofy weapon pls dont nerf

Also I hope for two handed hussite war-style flails in the future

It feels like a fun weapon in a game that's meant to be fun because when games loose there fun factor then what are they?
PillagingPagans Nov 20, 2022 @ 1:41pm
It doesn't need to do 35 damage per hit to be fun. Right now it simply feels to be the strongest weapon, bought it early on my run, proceeded to just stomp every fight since I got it.

It being "unreliable" is not a problem in my experience, it's really easy to just run away and grab it, I never even get hit once when retreating. I don't think it's balanced right when I'm giving my next character this cheap weapon over a 26k one.

Then don't use it it is a single player game

Why should it not just be balanced by having its damage reduced? I don't see why a singleplayer game shouldn't strive to be balanced.

Plus, enemies can spawn with it too, and they stomp all the other AI as well when they get it.
