Bug: Not Able to Make Fabric and Ingots from Loom and Foundry
Not Able to Make Fabric and Ingots from Loom and Foundry (Last Location: Ambertown Park)

When I tried to create cotton fabric the cotton thread and other cloths would disappear from the loom inventory. When I tried to create a pulsar ingot, I loaded everything fine but the pumps are unselectable. I am not able to progress if I cannot make fabric or ingots.

I'm not sure if this will help, but the characters currently on the ship are Gustav, Giovanni, Astrid, Atul, Bruce/Mickey, and Stanley. The ship is at the maximum upgrade size.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Have activated Stanley's Dr. Splash's Strange Experiments quest and completed Junior Architectural Designer.
2. Boot the game on Mac Big Sur 11.2.1, go to loom.
3. Click on the loom.
4. Notice that loom inventory does not match cloth inventory (press R for inventory) and that cloth is disappearing from what it was previously.
5. Rebooting the computer and reinstalling Spiritfarer on Steam does not help.

Steps to reproduce the issue:
1. Have activated Stanley's Dr. Splash's Strange Experiments quest and completed Junior Architectural Designer.
2. Boot the game on Mac Big Sur 11.2.1, go to foundry.
3. Add coal to middle of foundry and a raw metal to the left of the foundry.
4. Notice that foundry pump is unselectable.
5. Rebooting the computer and reinstalling Spiritfarer on Steam does not help.

Instructions to find build # do not apply on a Mac.

Pictures have been emailed to Thunder Lotus.

I forgot to add that rebuilding the loom and foundry doesn't work either.

This is very strange. Can you send me the content of the player.log file? On Mac it would available by using the Console app and look for a file called either Player or Unity (can't remember which one). I could also check if the issue is caused by your save state if you send me your save file (~/Library/Application Support/unity.ThunderLotusGames.Spiritfarer/SF_SAVE_GAME0.sav). You could also troubleshoot it by loading a previous save state through "Load Auto Save" in the main menu.

That being said, Dr. Splash Strange Experiments asks you to use strange ingredients in a few stations. Are you able to proceed with the quest?

Also worth noting that if Stan is unhappy, he will temporarily break stations.

Oh thank you for letting me know! I originally thought I had to go back to an auto save before cooking the paper. I already went back to an autosave that seemed safe and then it happened again to the foundry but not the loom. It always seemed to happen when Stan was hungry and/or I sold his painting. I just didn't always get around to feeding him because he doesn't like fruits/veggies and it's hard to fix him something he'd like that everyone else would like too. Between him and Bruce/Mickey, I can't rely on my orchards. I didn't know that was an issue. It'll go back to normal if I feed him? Can this be added to the sticky that has design decisions?

If the station broke because he was unhappy, yes feeding him should fix it. That being said I checked your save file and it is normal the options in the station seem odd. For the quest Dr. Splash Strange Experiments, you'll have access to new things you can try in those stations. The quest will be complete once you have tried enough of them. I notice you can no longer weave fabric. This probably happened because you destroyed the original loom and lost the upgrade. You'll have to improve it again.

I fed Stanley and gave him his paper again, but the foundry's still not working as I can't pump it. I even hugged him in the hopes his mood would be better. How long before it'll start working again?

Does he need his happy meter maxed out? I got him to one away from maximum happiness and the foundry still doesn't work. Since Bruce and Mickey are onboard I don't know if I could ever get him to max happiness.

Btw, I can't complete the quest because I can't use the foundry on pulsar for the Crusher

When I loaded your save, the foundry work fine, but I did see a weird issue. If I only added a single coal to the fire, it didn't work. I had to add at least two before pressing finalise. Is it possible this is the problem you are hitting?

That sounds right. I'll try it now.
