Cannot click anything when opening the game

After going from fullscreen to window mode on mac, I suddenly am unable to click on anything (mouse and keyboard not responding). Uninstalling and re-installing the game does not help. Restarting did not help. Clicking on the fullscreen mode button doesn't help (in fact it freezes the game) The overhead bar thing can't be clicked on.

Is there any chance you have an external monitor you can try connecting your Mac to and see if you're able to change the game resolution while it's on that monitor?

I'm not quite sure what I did to fix it, but what worked was when I unplugged my external monitor and just used my Mac while I kept trying different options with the green maximize button in the top left of window. I think it's like the game thought it was in full screen when it actually wasn't.

I also had this issue on my MacBook and managed to fix it by instead of putting the game into fullscreen wit the green button I selected "align tab/window left" and it seemed to force the game to read my clicks and restored functionality!

I'm still having this problem. No matter what I try with the green button it always freezes as soon as I click on the screen. Is there an actual fix or is my game just permanently broken?

It will even launch in fullscreen now, but as soon as it "starts" it freezes. Won't even show me the menu.

Edit: I have Windows Parallels and am able to launch it without issue there. I changed the settings to fullscreen and launched it again on my regular mac, but although it went from windowed to fullscreen (so the settings were saved), I still could not click on anything.

Can you please try going to Steam and right clicking on the game, then selecting Properties > General. In the Launch Options textbox, please enter the following:
-screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080

and then let us know if this helped.
