I hate the bounce ability

I for the life of me just cant bounce. I'm stuck on those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ trampuling things spinning in circles and either end up double jumping on accident or gliding. But I never once managed to succesfully bounce. And from what I see, all the bouncy jumps are MUCH lower than just simple double jump, but there are some areas that I can't get into unles I do a bounce. This is frusturating.

Are you sure you have learned the necessary ability? This is one of the last abilities you get.

I assume you've already unlocked the ability from the shrine? Once you do, you should be able to jump onto a bounce object and when you're about to land on it, use jump. Each time you bounce you can go a bit higher (max bounce height achieved ~3 bounces I think)

With the bounce ability, you need to double tap on the space bar a bit before landing on the bouncing surface. Then you'll go higher . The higher you go, continue to douple tap on the space bar a bit before landing on the bouncing surface. You'll go very high. It took me a few days to understand that.
