can't find more zinc

I need more zinc for the ship upgrade, but I can't find it. So I stuck on this point and I dont have any idea how to get the basement & the Smithy without the zinc.

I stopped and searched at all chest places in the sea. After thatI searched at the Company, the Flotsam Shores and at the Southpoint Docks..

Do you have access to the oversized sea turtles yet? That's how I mined my zinc.

Yes, I have two of them, the third one is in the fog-area where I cant access (the foglamp upgrade needs stuff from the Smithy and for Smithy I would need Zinc). But I cant' grow zinc on both turtles.. Only materials which I have in the inventory.

I found a solution. There was really a bit zinc left for me at the Flotsam Shores

You need to make a habit of farming (growing) all materials you find.

Don't know if this is a bug or something but the turtles wrong let me grow zinc on them last I tried.
