Comet Rocks?

I need Comet Rocks/Powder to continue progressing, but I think I need another passenger, Giovanni? I think I've found him on Lonesburg, but he says he's waiting for someone. Do I need to wait it out, or is there something I'm missing?

From other threads, most say you need to finish Astrid's route, but she's asking to go to Iwashima Countryside, and I don't have that on my map anywhere?

Anyone think they can help?

Progressing with Astrid did indeed yield Giovanni, and he does provide the comet rock mini-game. Iwashima Countryside is not hard to find, it's among all those Japanese-sounding-looking islands west of the Everdoor, just hover over them in the navigation map until you find the right one.

There's always something you'll miss in this game, and some things come to you only if you persist. My advice: Keep fishing, in all kinds of waters - beyond the ice and rock barriers, etc, because you will catch something progressing the plot.

I took a break for a while, because I couldn't figure out how to progress. This is where I am stuck. I've had Giovanni onboard for a while now (finished some of his storyline) and have travelled through the area where comets rain down and it looks like a eclipse many times (pretty sure the area you're talking about). Nothing ever triggers for a minigame with Giovanni. There is a minigame for the Nebula thread, but that's it. Any advice would be appreciated.
