Fish area on map

I went to the fish area on the map and its impossible to catch the fish there!! i have been trying for 20 minutes at this point but it just gets too far away or the rod breaks because the timing changes.

There are tricks you can use to make fishing easier that enable people to catch those fish early, but the intended way is to visit a late-game shrine to upgrade your fishing rod.

If you don't want to wait for that, then tapping the fishing button while the rod is red should keep the fish from getting away without snapping the line, letting you catch even the hardest fish.

Oh i didnt know there was a shrine to upgrade the rod, that definitely is why i cant catch it, thanks for letting me know :)
