How do you catch that giant fish?

It's a salmon? I think? Located in an area in the ocean. Sorry I don't remember but I remember struggling to catch it and just gave up. I'm using a controller so should I try using mouse and keyboard instead?

There are two things that help you catch the Tuna (there's also more than one type, caught at different spots around the map).

One is that there's a shrine you can find (very) late-game which enhances your fishing ability, making it easier to catch.

The other is that if you tap the button while the line is turning red, the fish gets much less further away than if you just let the line unreel, letting you catch fish that would otherwise either escape or break the line.
