Stanley sleeping bug?

Hiya! I just grew Stanley (cutest lil munchkin ever) but since I have him, I'm dealing with a sleeping bug, which I don't know how to fix. I either a) can't sleep/get into bed at all and then I'll have to quit and save and then b) Can sleep, but when I do, the screen turns black and won't turn on/show the game anymore. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Have you tried talking to Stanley? Once you explain things to him, he should go sleep in the Guest House.
