What keys do you use? I can't decide!

I start using WASD to move, but because I keep using the enter key with my right hand I find myself using the arrow keys instead. This is fine as there is no mouse needed in the game. But then I reach a screen where I need to use the mouse wheel to zoom! So I hold the mouse and go back to WASD again. But then the mouse isn't used for the next 1/2 hour and I'm unconsciously switching randomly between WASD and arrows.

And then sometimes I cancel an action with the tab key, but other times I'm forced to use the escape key.

It sounds silly I know, but I just can't find controls that fit right in all instances.

What do you use? I don't believe I'm the only person who finds it slightly awkward to choose?

I play with left had only. That way my right hand can hold a fuzzy blanket while I play. I don't use mouse unless I have to

You could use a hotkey scripting application to bind mouse wheel up & down somewhere on the keyboard
