I'm stuck. Please advise.

I need to get wood to upgrade the ship and fulfill quest requests that isn't maple. I have a message in a bottle where I need to go but can't find it on the map. I'm having a hard time figuring out what to do next.

I have the ship upgraded at least once, I have a loom, I have a special room for the first spirit, but not the second. I got the union spirit after getting an agreement between the union and CEO.

Any advice? Or where I can find a guide?

Keep exploring. You should be able to reach islands with Oak trees from the start. You should probably be able to see at least one island in the rainy area north of the Everdoor, and island hopping west from there will get you to unfamiliar islands with new resources. Or if you have a mailbox, you should get mail giving you information about somewhere out that way.

One thing you might want to try is sailing into a thunderstorm (marked with lightning on the map).

Apologies, having replayed that stretch for the new update, the hint that leads you to islands with oak trees is obtained by fishing.

If you got the Furogawa Tours bottle, it should have marked an island more or less due west of the Everdoor. If it didn't, then that's a bug.

It didn't until I got close enough to it for the map to open the area up.
