How to use the upgraded stove?

So, I finally got the materials necessary to upgrade the stove in the kitchen. However, I can't seem to use the second slot shown when you're picking what to pick. I can still only pick one ingredient and fill up to five of those in the first slot.

Do I have to get the 5000 glims for the person in Glimmburg before I can use the upgraded stove, or is there something else I'm missing?

Once you have the required material, you need to purchase the upgrade by using the "improve" button at the blueprint station, then select the kicthen.

Yeah, I did that already. I can tell the stove's upgraded because I now have two slots for ingredients rather than one - but, I can't figure out how to put anything in the second slot.

Ah sorry, I misunderstood! The second slot will fill up if you try to add a different ingredient than what is in the first slot. Once you have put something in the first slot, only remaining valid ingredients will be available. You can't mix two ingredients of the same type (2 fishes, 2 veggies, etc). You put in up to 5 of each ingredient.

Ohhh, gotcha. I kept trying to do two veggies or two fisher together and was like, "Why isn't this working...?" ^_^;
