Don't know how to improve the loom!Please help me!

Having saw others communication,I know I need to continue the story with the dear ,but I don't know what she need! And I don't know where to see the captain's log! please help me !

(I've only played the Switch version and not the PC/Steam version, so I don't know which keyboard controls correspond to the captain's log, unfortunately.)

To improve the loom, or any other building on the ship, you have to find the blueprint somewhere in the world before the improvement shows up as an option in the building station.
In this case, the Loom blueprint is located in Villa Maggiore - specifically, the rare chest on the balcony.

Once you get the blueprint, go to the builder's station and it'll show you how many Glims + what other materials you need in order to build the improvement.

(crying) I don't have the key to the Villa Maggiore,I thought I may need to accomplish Gwen's wish, but I talked to her many times, she told me nothing useful

Check the captain log to see what you need to do. You can open it with the TAB key.
