Urchin?

Hiya, does anyone know where to find the urchins? Or like how the mechanic works as in do you need to be sailing for it to spawn or do you have to be on land? Its the last thing I need for the collection. TY!

I remember hearing somewhere that the shellfish spawn when you visit and return from an island - which also matches my experience - with types depending on region.
