Aluminum?

Where do I get Aluminum? I gave in and googled it because I haven't been able to find any despite going everywhere I'm able to go (up to snow zone so far) and not finding any.

Apparently I'm supposed to meet another dragon but I've been wandering around for ages without any luck.

Did I miss something somewhere along the way?

The only quest I have for summer involved improving her home, which required aluminum?

The only thing I can think of is that I didn't plant any resources on the second turtle because I have literally hundreds of each resource available to me. I've been revisiting old areas to try to find something I missed since every single quest I have required aluminum or some other resource I do not yet have access to.

I'm also missing one glim(?) needed to unlock the zipline ability so I'm sure I'm missing something/someone.

you have to buy icebreaker upgrade from Albert, then as far as I remember you can
a) loot aluminum from random crate in north region, then plant it on the turtle sister
b) once you get icebreaker, Summer quest continues (she won't wake up until you upgrade her home with heating system). After that she leads you to aluminium dragon.

atleast it's how it went for me.

You should have enough Obols for the zipline at this point. Did you get Astrid (the lynx), Giovanni (the lion) and Gustav (the owl) aboard? Also, to wake up Summer and get access to aluminium you need to build the heater. This takes copper ingots, iron ingots and glass.

I've fully improved Summer's home and do not have any option to add a heater. Is this an improvement or a separate build item I need to unlock at the shipyard?

I do have Astrid and Gustav but I do not have Giovanni. I mentioned earlier that I didn't plant anything on Masha because I was not in need of any resources. I'm guessing this may be a requirement because it's my only active quest aside from some unreasonable demands from Atul.

Yes, doing the Mash part should allow you to unlock new quests and eventually get Giovanni. For Summer, once she falls asleep and you go in her room, something should hint you to go see Albert at the Shipyard. He'll give you the blueprint for the heater improvement.
