The Lizard King?

I'm going through the last few bits left in the game and I'm stuck on one of them: The Lizard King. It's a Buck quest and he asks me to vanquish a "Lizard King" who happens to be in Edgeborough Lane. Having known this from early on, I talked to him and he said he wanted carrots. I have plenty, luckily for me.

However, the quest-log has updated to merely state that I must "do the Lizard King's bidding" and he does not give any more text beyond his default statement. Talking to Buck doesn't seem to give any hints either. Anybody figured this out?

I had a supply of carrots on me, and I was able to progress by simply talking to The Lizard King again. Literally completed this like 10 mins ago.

How many carrots did you have? I have 15 on my person, which I assumed at the time was enough. If it worked for you then I guess I need more

For future folks searching for this subject, it's somewhere between 18 (my first trip) and 30 (when he accepted the task).

It's 20 carrots. I had 18 and harvested one crop for a total of 21, and I can't see them wanting an odd number
