Likely a GPU driver error. You can try either updating your GPU drivers, or force the game to run with direct3d 12 by adding the following launch option in the game Steam properties:
-force-d3d12
The event log shows a 1074 event, which is a normal manual shutdown, initiated by NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM for no reason.
This only happens when playing Spiritfarer, and always happens when playing Spiritfarer.
Any leads, anyone ? I can give any info you need to fix this, @ClockworkXI
I can say that we do not do anything that would trigger a manual shutdown. Given that, it might either be related to the Unity engine or something with your OS configuration. maybe something like key presses the game makes you do or inactivity settings like a previous user mentioned?
Obviously I don't see how or why the game would do this, and I'm only using WASD, E, I, space, escape and tab ; which are fairly common keys on any game...
Right now, I was just standing still doing nothing when it happened.
That being said, the 1074 is followed by a bunch of errors in the event viewer - their timestamp is after the 1074 but they have appeared alongside it a couple of times.
They do not happen if I manually shut down the computer. I have no idea what the services are about.
They are :
* 7009 - Timeout of Broadcast User Service and GameDVR_81a45 - the "version number", here 81a45, changes every time. Now it is 7f779.
* 7000 - Unable to start Broadcast User Service and GameDVR
* 10005 - DCOM received error "1053" when starting BcastDVRUserService_81a45 service to execute server : Windows.Media.Capture.Internal.AppCaptureShell

Is there anything other than the event viewer I could inspect ?
I run Cyberpunk in ultra at 120fps. I do not think it is a hardware problem since it only happens on this game, but I'm open to try it out.
The event log this time only shows a 1074 from NT AUTHORITY\System and no errors afterwards. Turning Vsync off does not matter.
This is the entire error message, in French :
Le processus C:\WINDOWS\SysWOW64\shutdown.exe (PC) a lancé l'arrêt de l’ordinateur PC pour l’utilisateur AUTORITE NT\Système pour la raison suivante : Aucun titre à cette raison n’a pu être trouvé
Code : 0x800000ff
Type d’extinction : s’arrêter.
Commentaire :
I don't know if the code can help, or the fact that the shutdown is being launched by a 32-bit application (SysWOW64). The game is 64-bit, I am just sitting here scratching my head...
