Hit an Iceberg and can't move

(I just want to start with I am playing this on the Xbox pc gamepass, I just don't have any better place than steam to ask these kind of questions)

I was sailing out toward an exclamation point out in the dark portions of the map and ran into a blue wall (which turns out to be ice) but after that I can't seem to move. I have tried setting sail backwards, and towards other points but the engine immediately stops. I have tried quitting and starting again but I seem to be stuck at the same point. Any one else have this issue and maybe know what I can do?

You have to improve your ship to pass that line.

Improve the ship at Albert's shipyard with an icebreaker (and later with a rockcrusher, mistlamp etc)

Well I realize that, I saw the upgrade before but couldn't make it at the time. Problem is I still can't move away from the blue line. The issue is not that I can't pass it, but that I can't seem to move at all.

I am having the same issue as you and I bought the upgrade to break the ice , hope it gets fixed soon.

On what platform are you playing? If on Steam, can you try the branch "public_test"? The steps on how to opt-in is in one of the sticky threads.

The engine sputters and stops right after. Tried selecting directly back as well.

I did see this is a known bug though, so at least it has been reported.

I had (as others too) the same issue.
My final option was to buy the game here in steam, I talked in the discord server and Med (one of the guys of the team) told me that the reason that the patch wasn't available in xbox (this happened one week ago for me) it was 'cause they were waiting for authorization that they need to upload patches in other platforms.
It's not like that in steam, where they can upload patches more easily.

:( I couldn't solve it and i really wanted to play so i bought the game here, since it has a lot of issues,...imagine if i need to wait for every patch all this time...

Yes the situation is not ideal. But I have some good news! The patch should roll out very soon. We've got the approval and are only waiting to do some final validation on our side. Thank you for buying the game again, much appreciated. I believe there might be a way to transfer a save from Gamepass PC to Steam, if you are interested.

I'm having this problem now... I upgraded the ship with the ice breaker, selected different localions to go to, but the ship just dont pass, it looks like it doesnt have the upgrade at all, but it does... I don't know what to do!

If you have the ice breaker, you'll visually see it in front of your boat. Is this the case? Just to make sure, the ice region is the top-left portion of the map. You'll need the rock breaker to access the bottom-right portion.

It was working all along, I was trying to pass through another kind of wall, I just didnt know it had a difference, now I do...
