game breaking bug talking to Mickey and Bruce on switch

I had a couple of bugs where Mickey and Bruce had dialogue for me for completing quests, but when I clicked on them, they wouldn't say anything. It just popped up with nothing. But I figured I'd just come back to it. But then I was taking Giovanni to the Everdoor and I tried to click on mickey and bruce to give them a hug as I was leaving, but i got stuck in place. I turned the software off and on multiple times but I can't move or do anything. If anyone has encountered this and somehow got a fix, please let me know!

I have a but with Mickey and Bruce after fully upgrading their "palace" they are sitting in front of my room area and have an exclamation point saying "Mickey has an idea" but when I try to talk to them nothing comes up. On Gamepass btw

same issue here on pc, build all their stuff and first the game froze when i tried talking to them and then after a hard reboot they are just gone... My quest log still say to talk with them...

I have the same issue with the Windows Store version of the game. I can't even give them anything to eat anymore because the game will get stuck if I talk to them.

After taking some other character to the gate they appeared again and I was able to progress the quest. They continued to be bugged though, at one point they were just flying around the screen, but every now and then when I advanced one of the other quests they would allow me to talk to them again and eventually I managed to finish their quest line.
