Gustav disappeared

Last night I got Gustav the wood print and he came aboard the ship. He listed all the things he wanted on the ship and fortunately, I already had them all. The next things he did was lecture me on some random stuff until the screen blacked to him finishing the conversation mentioning maybe I needed a pencil and notepad. His ! mark persisted and every time I talked to him the same conversation happened including the fading screen. I assumed I needed some sort of key item/pencil and notepad or something and went to bed. Today I got on the game and he is totally missing. No where on the boat, not sleeping in the guest house and no requests in the log. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help.

It seems so issue occured with the save. If you are on Steam, you can rollback to previous save by the Load Auto Save in the main menu.

I am honestly unsure. We are hard at work investigating this issue and other similar. They seem to be cause by a desync in the save state somehow. Fortunately it appears to be rare. Did Gustav by any chance get rollbacked on his island?

Atul just dissapeared on me. i only got to ask 2 people where he was after our dinner, and then his spirit flower appeared in his house and the quest to find him dissapeared. Is this a scripted event or did my game broke? not sure if i can continue.


i went back with the autosaved but it just happens again after i speak with 2 people

I checked and you were right, sorta. He's back on his island, but stuck in my little boat at the dock. I recorded a clip if you want to see it for debugging.

It's unfortunate because I truly enjoy your game and I'm probably 10 hours in it. I was planning on buying it for a friend, but I'll probably wait a few months to make sure the bugs are gone.

Let me know if you want me to email the clip or something.

I was playing yesterday evening, got Gwen, Atul and Summer - done some fishing for Atul, learned to play music in the garden with Summer, then got the quest for the Quartz Dragon. When I launched the game today, Atul and Summer were nowhere to be found. Only Gwen remained. I guess I have to start the game over :( Hope that doesn't happen again, especially if I'm further into the playthrough...

I am on XGP too.

I am on XGP too.

From the data we have and from our internal tests it is a rare issue (we haven't been able to reproduce it yet). However I did put in a failsafe where I think the game is failing and it will be patched soon.
