Nebula pillbugs

I've been roaming through and seeing them jump onto my ship, but I can't press the use button on them or anything? Not sure what I'm doing wrong, how do I get the nebula fibers from them?

Once you have the hedgehog character on your boat, when you sail through the pillbug icon she will give you a quest to return the baby pillbugs to their mothers. If you're seeing them on your ship, I'm guessing you've got to that stage. You have to speak to the hedgehog, then one by one run past the babies and then run back to the mother.
