TRIED ON WINDOWS 10 it lagged horribly when movign the map and froze constant when doing anything with the game involving movement of people

Hello, I am part of a team of devs that include the original designers of KIS, KAG, and KoW. We are thinking about building an RTS game with the same core mechanics and philosophies of the Kohan series. We are wondering if there are any fans of the old series that have artistic or developer skills and might be interested in helping us get to the point of a Kickstarter or investment ready demo. Played all three games (K, the evil one, and K2) back in the era of CDs. Has anyone tried this on Steam Deck? Does it work? Is the interface ok? I’d be interested in replaying this, but likely only away from home, so it’s Steam Deck or not at all.

When I press "play", the game (k2.exe) runs for 3-4 seconds then disappears. I have already did the data execution prevention method and pasting the dll to the game folder method. Are there any more fixes tailored for windows 11? Same happens for: Ahriman's gift, kohan 2 kings of war, order of war....
