Game Guide doesn't fit with the game
What with some of the mini-games (such as the 'clock' in the parlour) not really being explained, I had hoped to get a look at them in the game guide (which is part of the CE), but had to find out that the guide belongs to another game entirely (there's something about two princesses and about Bluebeard in there, so clearly not this game). I hope that will be fixed eventually.

check other bigfishgames topics, 99% or more do not have any reply ....
i havent seen one bigfish page that had replies ....

i bought a few games here on steam... but
bigfish doesnt give any reply nor visible support here.... only at the official site where games can be bought aswell theyreply to users/customers.

I stopped buying games here.... i will keep buying the retail ( thats cd/dvd) in local stores or online if possible) many of those games can be activated on the pc, no online activation and not account tied , i own 30 games or so very good games.

Well, I usually buy the BFG stuff here, because it's a little cheaper and BFG has pulled games from their catalogue in the past.

I haven't had issues before but the wrong guide is just one of many problems I'm having within the game. Is there a way to let them know?

not that i know off :steamsad: i do know they prefer their own website and service

Googled info about BigFishgames

Big Fish Games - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Fish_Games
History. The company was founded by Paul Thelen in 2002 with $10,000. In 2009, it announced the opening of their new European headquarters in Cork, Ireland.

It seems they do not exist that long as i thought they had, i thought they were founded in the 90's

So, when was Steam founded ? ( Googled)

When was steam made?
Development on the platform began in 2002, and after a successful beta it launched on September 12, 2003. It wasn't that big a deal. The service wasn't mandatory for all Valve games, and was only really useful if you were playing a game (or mod) like Counter-Strike or Day of Defeat.Sep 12, 2013

Thats also later then i thought it was, expected them to be founded in the late 90's
So basically they were founded in the early 20th century, so why they prefer their own homebased companies own website and give that priority, and dont support the Steam community :steamsad:

Anyway thats where i draw the line after buying a few games at Steam i stopped buying them, i will try to find online stores or local stores ( with a physical store) and get bigfishgames there... i have 30 or so games ( retail ), the benefit is they activate the game on your pc with an activate tool thats on the game cd and done during installation )
This way the game is on the pc and does not need steam or other clients to run, it does NOT have achievments but since i am old timer , gaming for >40 years i dont need achievements, cause i never had them.

Artifex, Alwar , and many smaller casualgames developers develop good HOG (hidden object games) and other casualgames,so Bigfish is not the only fish in the ocean :steamhappy:

I'm an old gamer, too, but since I live in Germany, a lot of the games which come out in the US or are available through Steam do come late or never to my country, thus Steam is my platform of choice (together with GOG, but GOG doesn't do a lot of casual stuff). I also do prefer having an easy way to download a bought game again - especially after having to set up my windows again several times in the past, which meant having to re-install everything I needed. One company I bought from completely cut off support a while ago, which meant downloading all installation files and hoping my external HD will not go broke, because there's no recovering them from the original company. That is why I prefer platforms. And BFG demands more for their games on their site than here, so I often look for the games here instead.

There are a lot of things wrong with the game, including the game outro, which looks more like a screen test than the final version. I wonder why that is, as the game took long enough to come to Steam and the version should be identical with the one from BFGs own servers.

I dont know, most of my retail BF games work a charm, many are translated into Dutch( some games also in French)
by Denda ( they have online site with games but with DRM ( online activation servers( which is nasty stuff )so i stick with retail aslong as they are DRM free, no serials needed or client.

Anyway, the last year the games ( DENDA) are less frequently so i think they will stop sooner or later which is ad, but i have too many games :D still need to play 90% so my backlog is way too big, in total steam( >150) and retail( 500 games or so , different casual games (most are HOG) GOG ( also a few hundred 2 or 3 )) + a nice number of old casualgames at gamersgate = too many games :D
