[solved] can't log into gfwl anymore
edit : Found out the solution. I just had to disable the two-steps connexion.

so, here i'm trying to login gfwl to play the game online

i've recently changed my password again and am entering it, and it says my id or password is incorrect, when i actually can log into my mailbox and my account on the website (xbox, marketplace or w/e bs names it is)

isn't the password different than the normal windows live id ? in that case, why could i log in my account on the website ? i have only one account i think

when i go to the forgot password, it just opens me a 404 page on the web browser

any idea ?

It's when you enable a security feature which sends you a code via SMS that you have to enter for being able to login to your account.

Well, you can argue that not being nice, but it sure is safe .. it doesnt even allow the actual user to log in :)

I've been trying all day to fix this and figure out what two step connection is. How exactly do you disable it?

Well at first you have to enable it in your microsoft account. As I said it's a two-step connection that make you unable to log in with your username and password if you don't enter the code sent via SMS on the mobile phone you've set in the options. It's similar with the battle.net authentification system. The code is usually asked after you enter your username and password.

This feature seems to be not compatible with GFWL, so when it's enabled and you try to log in GFWL, it just messes up and gives you the error message sayin that your log/pw are invalid. You have -in any case- to disable that two-step connection feature to be able to log into GFWL. You can find these settings via your microsoft mailbox (hotmail, outlook), it should be around those for security 'n password stuffs.
