Or, you could just go here. This is the fix I used : https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Desperados_2:_Cooper%27s_Revenge
scan down to where it says Graphical glitches with AMD GPUs. You only need the 14.8 file. Then unzip it into the games directory. Should be fine now. If you want Widescreen, let me know and I'll post the answer ... although that too is in the link.
i unzipped there but nothing changed. there were no dll files with the same names there :/
There should be no dll files to overwrite within the same folder your game exe is. Did you download (only) the 14.8 zip which is 14.9 Mbs ? Did you put it in the same location as your game exe ?
I'm running Windows 10 64bit with a Radeon RX 480 (8GB) graphics card and everything worked fine for me.
Maybe, download the zip file and extract the contents into a temporary folder on your desktop, then copy & paste the dlls into the same place as your game exe to make sure they are getting there ?
As I said, this worked for me and I thought I would share it with others as I've never been able to play the game due to the graphics problem.
I hope it works for you as well. Good luck.
I decided to play again first 3 games before platying Desperados 3. Finished first game and faced this exact problem with playing Cooper's Revenge. Now i can continue. Thanks again!
Possibly a Windows/Microsoft update did this to us ?
I doubt it because this fix still works for others.
Possibly, your new card drivers haven't been cleared out completely yet. Try running that cleaner they got. It's free.
I can't back-up atm
