As far as I know that should be possible. It does work with injured suspects, though I suggest you at least stop the bleeding with a small medikit to make sure you get them there alive.

I believe the answer is yes, and also if you finish the mission before the death meter ticks down, they will live.

I also forgot many of the tutorial things, but I decided to make a play through video series for it, where I encounter a lot of mistakes and overcome them. So yes, shameless self promotion, I hope it helps!

The answer is yes: an injured rebel can be evac'ed and will survive. He will no longer be a part of the mission and will take time to heal on the campaign map, so he can't be assigned to missions until that timer is up.
I strongly reccomend against this course of action unless you have no medkits left and it is your only option to keep the rebel from dying. Using that medkit will heal his injury and let him keep fighting. When the mission is over he will have no recovery down time. Plus healing himself or allies gives XP.
