So far, you've the first person i've seen yet who made a vocal suggestion and topic about this specific aspect of the game. Maybe you are not the only one, but i'm assuming there is very few people concerned by this problem.
I'm not sure it is something that can be changed by the devs though. :(
One main reason i learned is because of different localisation. While english and french text can seem to have a lot of room available to fill in the game interface, you must also think that other language may not have such space. For example, german language often fill a lot more space for the same amount of information.
Beside, I never saw such option (in any other game) that let you change the font size of text in-game.
The message is old, and I say the same thing, jnplay on Steam Deck, I paid 400 and more euros, and my experience is almost ruined because of the ridiculous tiny fonts of dialogues and description text in general ( tutorial/hints and menu).
And from what I read here, even if you play in a big TV the problem is the same.
I'm thinking that who says that there is no problem are the people that doesn't care about to force the eyesight, you play hours and hours with this tiny fonts, you will have problems in the future.
And I'd like to play a game with no worries and enjoy the game itself.
I'm really disappointed about this, they did DLC on DLC, and any fix feature addition about the text, even a stupid zoom ( that can increase the size of every lenguage) doesn't matter if the text sometimes can go outside box.
I prefer to read text outside box than to have to force my eyesight and feel that disturb.
The issue is because the game was made for 1080p, If you are running in higher resolution then your going to run into that problem. In someways it's similar to games crashing when trying to run at 4k widescreen when they aren't designed for it.
Basically, just run a profile set to 1080, and if that's to small still i'd set to 720, though i have not tested it to see if the GUI still fully works, but give it a shot. It's the only way to scale up text in many games.
I'm not sure if works on Steam Deck, I hope.
I'm going to risk to drop the game for this reason, sometimes I feel really bad to read that so small text, and the game is really nice...
EDIT: ok did it, nothing changed:(
