I've finished this game on hardest difficulty without abusing things as some other guide-makers do, i.e. without save-scum and use regen items for auto-res each turn/no ice-bomb spam.

My advise to make game easier for you:

1. Spend gold when you want, resting after every fight is ok. You will finish with around 70.000+ gold that you will have nothing to spend on.
2. Choose Priestess, not Paladin (weakest class) or Ministrel (better, but not good as Priestess).
3. Focus on choosing CC (crowd control) abilities over damage ones.
4. All points go into Agility. It is not just +to hit but also dodge/parry.
5. Protection is weak, you better focus on avoiding damage (via CC or dodge/parry).
6. You can get around 30+ ice bombs, you need 2 ice bombs max for hard fight to cheese it. There are not more than 10 truly hard fights, so you will have enough. Use them with thief (Bomberman).

Game is easy once you know rules, have fun.

I am not so sure Paladin is the weakest class. I realize it is subjective but the Minstrel does not seem that effective in "Nightmare". The Paladin has the one Ability "Parry" which turns her into a tank that can draw enemies to attack her with counter attacks. In addition, that opens up opportunites for easier backstabs with your other characters. That alone makes her a solid choice. It could be argued whether that one skill -combined with her other skills-makes her a better pick than the Priestess or not. I am on the fence on which one is better; However, for me it is very close. Regardless, there is no way I would take the Minstrel over the Paladin.

Appreciated the "spend gold" comment because I just realized that myself...how little good gold does just sitting in your inventory, and finally bought some armor/weps with it.
I've messed up my stats some...is there any way to respec, you know?
Thanks for the advice!

You have to buy potions of Oblivion I believe. They are sold by the bartender and they restock. Bear in mind it restocks after so many chapters. It does not restock if you shut down the game and restart or load your current progress (to my knowledge).

Another advise: after each chapter buy new 8 Oblivion potions (respec) and Ice bombs from Pharma-guy (3 bombs). This way you have max bombs/respec items.
