Stuck on first loading screen

No noise and stuck on first loading screen. The pen keeps writing on the book and I can't go past that.
Help????

When you say "loading screen" is it the main menu with the dungeon in the back and our heros in front ? Did you play the demo when it was available a few weeks ago ? Finally do you have the V2 patch installed ?

Yes the dungeon tower in the back and heros standing on a ledge.
I did not play the demo.
I had the latest patch installed at the time.

I have this issue too. I've done EVERYTHING to fix it and nothing. I was near the end of the game, maybe floor 6? The game constantly crashed and gives me white screens of death which require a hard reboot.

I uninstalled it entirely and it still was stuck on the hanging load screen at start up as Paper_Person said--no sound, infinite loading symbol.

I went into the registry and removed all instances of this game, reinstalled, and it still hangs. I'm actually quite upset as this game is not only unplayable as of now but I was really enjoying the game as it's exceedingly rare to get me into a non multiplayer game.

I didn't get the game on Steam, but through GoG; however, GoG forums are pretty dead. I am pretty sad about this whole ordeal.

Sorry to hear about that issue again, it is now resolved on our side and it will be deployed in a future patch (not the one deployed today) but... there is normally a way to fix it on your side.

Check this directory C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Artefacts Studio\Naheulbeuk\Save and look for saved game files with a really small size, if you have this kind of files, delete them (backup them elsewhere if you are not confident about deleting a file). You should be able to launch the game and access the main menu.

PERFECT! Thank you so much!

I transferred my saves to another folder; ran the game fine. Put my Main Save back and the game continued without issue.

Just to let you guys know:
Hi! Got the game through Amazon Games and it it stil freezes on the first loading screen. Deleting the small save file worked for me as well
