I found First Blood to be good for the Ranger and never regretted giving the Elf immunity to poison. Elven camouflage was also good many times.

Some skills are really a bit meh, such as immunity to scaring (Paladin).

I really appreciate all your support for this wonderful game. I have watched Mikefield's build guide, and have gotten some good ideas from him. I'm sure your guide is equally as excellent, but I don't have the energy to watch another long build guide. Best of luck!

I'm giving the Rangers First Blood another go, it seems to be pretty strong when I get to use it.
Only problem is that in chapter 8 + I use the ranger to buff twice before he attacks, so sometimes I don't have any mob that's on full unscathed HP to hit the ability on. As my team has a lot of area of effect damage. Will continue testing though, thanks for the great suggestion!

I didn't try out the Elf immunity to poison but I did take the immunity to fire, I feel like the fire ticks for more damage on low hp targets then the poison does or maybe it's just me lol.

Aww thanks man, appreciate the strong honesty as well! I don't blame you these guides can take ages to sit through. Mike's guide is decent we differ on a few things but share a lot of the same opinions and conclusions about abilities.

I liked immunity to fire too, especially since I had the Paladin and she liked to fry enemies. I also took the fire spells for the Wizardness. You may need a bit more constitution to survive AoE.

At lvl 10 my Ranger had 20 agility, 20 strength, 19 const, 12 int, 19 cour, 12 char

By the way Methfu, I just saw Part 45, remember that you can see the effects of buffs/debuffs if you expand the info. window that appears to the right. This can be done by clicking on the char with the middle mouse button or with I.

What?!? You can expand the buffs/debuffs info window that you see when you hover over units? I had no idea, and have been frustrated my entire game (just started chapter 6) that the buffs/debuffs aren't explained well.

Holy cow, this is a game changer! Was this explained in the tutorial? If so I obviously missed it and that's my fault. If not, the developers REALLY need to call attention to this feature!

It's in the tutorial, when you fight the first Orc. For the Keyboard and Mouse, click the middle mouse button or press the "i" key while hovering over something. The little plus symbol to the right of the name will become a minus symbol and a panel will open up showing the buffs/debuffs on the character and how many turns they will be there (e.g. 2T for 2 turns).

Really? I find the amount of poison in this game very low.

As for the ranger first blood, i think it is ok very early in the game, but later there is to much AOE, and i find some battles i never even get a single chance to use it. I like grabbing a ranged skill instead. Even with just one point that ranged cripple shot is pretty nice, it really debuffs your target.

Gave you a shout out in my secret boss guide. I was really confused since I could do it sometimes with the i hotkey and sometimes it would force me to cast Randomia spells.. Not sure if that was a bug or not.
The middle mouse works wonders though and I wish I had paid more attention to the tutorial in the beginning.

I think a lot of people miss this since there's so much to take in at the beginning of the game including myself lol. I think they should mention it again later on or at least put it as one of the tips in the loading screen, just to remind people that it's possible to do.

I think Crippling Shot is the Thief ability, did you mean you Destabilizing Shot for the Ranger?
I didn't get a chance to test out Crippling Shot much, felt like the thief had some pretty solid options to grab for mid to late game but with a respec I guess I could of taken the point out of the Poison Caltrops for Crippling shot around chapter 6-7.
