Anyone else think the Paladin quest is super hard?
Title kind of says it all. There are a lot of fights in this game, But man is that paladin quest brutal. It's defiantly the hardest of the 3 NPC quests. I remember my last play it took me a couple tries on epic. Things have been going really well this time, as i breezed through the stalkers at lvl 5, and thought i'd hit the paladin quest before i ran into Jaypack. I got whooped, tried again and did better but the final wave got me.

Not asking for tips, Just curious if others have the same experience. I'm tempted to go beat up jaypack and come back. Either that or maybe respec for some fire resist.

I usually clear the field before the final waves can spawn, but that's probably less of an option on epic. I mainly play norm and hard.

I also throw everything I can at the drow on turn one to try to stun, if not kill her.

Yea i did that on try two... I think i'm gonna try spreading out a bit more, and fighting away from the spawns, make um take a turn to move before they can attack. the explosive goblin and the other one with the tossed bomb are taking to much health from me. Then that AOE fireball wizard wrecks me. Well i could finish, but trying to beat it with out a KO on my side both tries, i lost someone. I think i would of beat it just barely, but i don't like letting someone KO.

I guess maybe i shouldn't care, i already got that achievement so it's more about just my own rules, verse the games.
Those exploding guys are bastards, they can really screw up tempo. Especially without a healer.

It's your challenge though, tackle it how you want to.

Totally agree, those little buggers suck! they are what makes the Golem fight in the workshop so tough. But what's even worse is the follow up mages. They really bring down the pain.

But your right about the healer thing, None of my heals are upgraded (outside the ranger with his get up with KD upgrade) with my builds and with out the priestess that probably isn't the smartest thing lol.

But yea, 5th time through you do different things. My last time through i did upgrade the heals on the wizard/elf. Maybe i'll change the ogre, i went for the slap upgrade to bypass armor and drop a cooldown, i should add the Dwarf toss instead. those mages drop, toss the dwarf, then let him whirl before they get their chance to move might just make this mission go from a challenge to a breeze.

maybe drop the dwarfs charge and pick up the taunt too, with the paladin i don't really need to use the dwarf as a mobile tank either.

thats why i love this game, So many different ways to play and build.

Tried another strat with that mission and walloped it. I didn't know the drow was also susceptible to burn, that changed things in a big way. I pushed her into double flames and stunned her and watched her burn.

Ok, that sounded way more evil than i wanted it too.
