Nope, the game isn't designed for multi-player and that would be too big of an overhaul for us.
We keep that in mind for a next opus !
maybe parsec will work to play with a friend ;)
with great delusion and confidence he states fake and wrong facts while steams top 20 most played games are ALL multiplayer games like csgo, dota 2, Pubg, apex legends, gta 5, team fortress 2, call of duty, rust, war thunder, ark, destiny ...and this is not taking into account non steam multiplayer games that dominate like league of legends, fortnite, overwatch 2
kid ...you clearly are too young to be allowed to comment on the internet, go back to your ipad and watch elsagate on youtube
And yet there isn't a game on that list you could pay me to play. The truth is, Single player games are extremely popular and aren't going anywhere. Most games made are single player besides for story based games it's almost always better for narration to go that route. Off hand the only game i can think of that i think is was actually better as Co-op is SWTOR, it actually made having a friend to play with Unique, It has a mechanic that the story will shift depending on who's talk choice is picked, it's very cool. I don't know of another that didn't just add a friend as basically an NPC.. If there is, please let me know.
But look at it this way.. Ok, yes those games have higher player counts, BUT if you add up the number of people playing MP games, verse the rest of the gaming world in single player, the SP count vastly out numbers the MP games. The difference is there are 20-30-40 popular MP games and maybe even 1k that are played regularly, but there are literally 10's of 1k's of SP games people are playing at the same time.
all that said, I have zero issue if they want to add it. Most of the classic RPG's have co-op, even baldur's gate. It's fun to RP with a friend.
in a desperate attempt to sound superior the pseudo-intellectual provides made up / fake facts and numbers based on emotions; he insists single player games are more played than multiplayer games because his heart tells him so and doesnt provide actual proof of graphs and numbers to back up his emotional fueled fake statement
There are your facts and delusional is believing the small pond you play in is bigger than the ocean.
In its confusion it hurts itself, clouded by emotions the child thinks hyped single player games that are a passing trend is the norm
Dead space remake is ranked 94 on steam charts, a far cry from the top 10 or even top 20 most played games on steam, let alone non-steam games
Yet again another pseudo-intellectual provides fake facts governed by emotions, the source for his wrong statements being "trust me bro"
Just check out steam charts and start adding. Even if you take 5 million folks playing MP games.. Steam still has 15-20 mill players logged in at the same time.
Again, I did not say they should not do it, It's just a single player RPG made with a small team and they did a bang up job, if they add it in the next all the better for the folks that want to play C0-op. Personally i'd rather have Mod support and a toolset, and that would really add to adding Co op on top of that.
Yet again, clouded by emotions, the pseudo-intellectual continues vehemently with tears in his eyes claim that a greater number of people play single player games than multiplayer games while providing ZERO sources to back up said claims with numbers.
I will, this one time, go against the saying "do not lower yourself to their level" and use your fantasy and emotional logic
1. CS GO: average daily active players ~800.000-1.000.000 (steamdb)
2. dota 2 : average daily active players ~400.000-500.000 (steamdb)
3. apex legends : average daily active players ~300.000 (steamdb)
4. pubg : average daily active players ~250.000 (steamdb)
against
1. elden ring: average daily active players ~60.000 (steamdb)
2. witcher 3: average daily active players ~30.000 (steamdb)
3. skyrim special edition: average daily active players ~25.000 (steamdb)
4. dead space remake: average daily active players ~10.000 (steamdb)
5. AWARD WINNING GAME stray: average daily active players ~750 (steamdb)
and
6. dungeon Of naheulbeuk: average daily active players : ~200 (steamdb)
after providing numbers that can be verified (steamdb) and the drastic drop-off in player count even for a popular game like dead space it is clear that the "10's of 1k's"
is a emotional fueled copium lie, the truth is that 99% of the "10's of 1k's" are in fact 1-200 players
I will be generous and say 20.000 games with 200 players each
singleplayer : 20.000 games x 200 players = 4.000.000 active users
multiplayer : 40 games x 200.000 players = 8.000.000 active users
i rest my case
Your acting like Steam is the only way to play video games, That is your first mistake right there.. here are just some numbers, but this list is missing things.. like Tetris actually having numbers that goes back to the late 80's.. As TETRIS is the number one selling game in history moving a half billion units. Nearly everything is cross platform these days.
If you notice single player RPG's are highly popular and among the best selling games of all time, fallout 3, Oblivion, Skyrim, witcher III, ect. (this list isn't perfect but it does reflect some basic things and is fairly accurate.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-selling_video_games
And again you are equating ACTIVE users verse, people that actually bought and played the game. OF course a MP player with active users is going to have more players than a game that even sold 5m copies 10 years ago. That doesn't mean it's more popular than said game. Not only that steam has offline mode and now steam deck which tons of people use for Single player games.
Nintendo is actually the company that produced the largest/most best selling games over the long haul, a large part is due to the popularity of Mario and mario cart which is over course an MP game. You can also use steam to check games that have Co-op and mp, and see how tons of those games barely have 5% of the player base even bother with the mp side of things, Easily done by looking at achievements. . Lastly a lot of games that end up with MP or Co-op didn't even start with that and didn't have it till the reached millions of sales. Stardew valley jumps to mine as an easy one, but there are others.
You are also simply forgetting there are tons of video game genere's that don't even have that option, Simulator, Builders, Point and click, VN's, walking sims, ect.. There are tons that sold well over a million copies. Maybe you don't remember when Myst and monkey island were actually considered industry power house games moving millions of copies.
OP, i didn't even realize this was a necro.. my bad.
