Has this game been abandoned?

No more updates for a while, can't even download the game on steam anymore...
I enjoyed playing SC so much, was really hoping the game would be successful but there were no players these last few months and now it seems the company has abandoned it entirely.
any hopes for the future?

funny as it was bound to happen, this highly competitive game and no ranked servers, ofc it was gonna die as the people attracted towards these games like to compete for rank / prices etc

I said right from the beginning that they'll be lucky to survive to the end of the year. You could clearly see where their priorities were. They were constantly trying to push out items in the store to try and suck more money out of people instead of actually improving the gameplay. We all gave feedback, ideas, things that the actual players of the game would have liked to see, but nothing ever happened. That's why everyone gave up. The game was a bit too basic and simple and all anyone wanted was a bit more depth. A good game that was ruined by people who had no clue what they were doing.

ahahah your fault no one forced you to waste money on a beta game...we all knew the game would go down. game was boring cause all u could play was normals and the same chars everytime.

Well, i guess that the servers it costs money and they wasn't having more money. Anyway that was good. It's true that the game needed improvements and not only more items and skins from the store...

Great. Another dead game I can add to the pile. Tried this out while it was in beta, thought I'd wait until it leaves early access. Randomly decided to turn it on today only to find the servers have been shut down.

This is the problem with early access games.

This was a great game. Sadly waaaaay too many people get too salty too quickly. I had whole team disconnect going two goals down.

The game was fun but it needed more I guess but why did the publisher shut down the servers?
