Cool Sword but.... what am I missing?
So one of my guys looted a sword out of a chest, but when my rifle does 28 damage per round and the sword does only 30 damage and you only get one hit....

Why take it at that point? I mean it looks cool but that's about it.

Also post death, has that been added in yet?
Had a team die and then, nothing happens.

That is the perfect question - should one grab a lower level magic sword and become experienced with swords, or keep using the rifle that feels more powerful?

And it is one that is ultimately up to you. Please note that there will be multiple different pickups, and you are *not* given a chance to pick up the most powerful ones at the start.

Regarding team wipe end-plate, see here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/969340/discussions/1/2290590620455059524/ -- for now, admire the failure and press ESC to get the menu and decide next step from there. There will come one designed, but I might add a simpler one in the meantime.

Understood, and if I might make a suggestion.

Though i'm fine with the perma-death of squad mates I would appreciate if say your named character upon a TPK would be able to restart with accumulated levels so it feels like even if you lose you're still making progress and though your squad mates might be more disposable, it doesn't mean they are not worth training as they are the only allies you have and even the best warrior can't survive alone.

Just for clarification, so I make sure I understand:

- You mean, upon death, automatically restart the current level, but allow current XP and Skill-levels to remain of the main ('you') character?

Yea, generally speaking that is a good summary.

TPK is a Dungeons & Dragons term for when the whole team dies.

It is a interesting suggestion, have written up 3 variations for the difficulties that may be introduced later (Easy, Normal, Hard) and added it to the roadmap.

Hope you see the new approach to Team Wipe now -- and perhaps found the second Sword.

I'll have to give it another shot, been awhile, though the last time I gave the game a shot was a few months ago. Turned out I still remembered the levels so well I didn't lose a single person.

Though I suppose I can do an intentional party wipe to see the mechanic in action. Also no, I never did find a second sword, so I'll have to find it this time around.

Hint, since this is Early Access and things could always change: It is early on 4th level.
