What OS are you running? Can you check process list in Task Manager to see if there is still a SBS.exe entry? If so, does it say "not responding" or something like that in the main tab of Task Manager?

i do not see the sbs.exe entry and it is 64 bit

Which version of Windows are you running? (XP, Vista, 7, 8?)
