Wood drying times in a kiln IRL
For furniture-making purposes, wood must be dried to about 6 to 8% moisture. For most other purposes, 10 to 12% is just fine.

Pine can take up to 1 week.
Oak can take 4 to 8 weeks.

As long as it actually takes, it makes me wonder how they stay in business!

I imagine lumber yards sell a good bit of "wet" wood. Then too, IRL you can get more kilns.
But not in this game!

It's my opinion the devs made it grindy and slow af because they don't have the content for it not to be. It is also my opinion that this is just a knock-off of their other game Farmer's Dynasty where instead of plowing feilds we get to cut down trees. I see very little difference between the two games.

As for paying off uncle, I will most likely have quit the game long before I even get close to having that kind of money. ...And forget about buying new machinery!! The game is in need of balancing to make it a lot less grindy and a lot more rewarding.

It is definitely a game for patient players who like such ideas. However, you can look for solutions - wood can be dried outside the drying room - even over 100 or more pallets (as long as it is under a roof), it takes longer, but then a few days of transporting dry lumber to the wholesaler and we get good money. Of course, complete tasks. Maybe the daily tasks are not very diverse, but the goal is achievable. Later, when you are a millionaire, it may be more boring, but the view of the forest that you planted, which grows bigger and bigger is worth this patience.
