Removing stumps and planting trees - a question

Do you have to pay off your uncle in full or in part to be able to remove trunks and plant trees? I have a mission to plant 20 trees and unfortunately I can't, it's blocked for now.

I have seen this post already along the discussions and it does state in there that you do have to pay him off first. I have not done so as of yet but wanted to shine that light for ya. Hope it helps.

yes, 250000 to pay before planting...

yes; you must pay your uncle first withe the 250000 then you get from Logan the Mission and you can by the planter and remover.

I don't understand the rationale of having to pay off the uncle in order to get the planter and stump grinder. Deforesting all these tracts of land and not being able to replant as you go...just seems it will be a chore to do all that planting much less remembering where you cleared it out.....not to mention not being able to progress with the Carson quest for the "auto tree cutter/stacker" Makes no sense why the payoff should be linked to something that would help pay off uncle faster with the equipment!

A small mistake on the dev's part. That quest should not even be available until after you can buy the tree planter. The dirty maters quest should be a prerequisite to that one.
