- Dry planks ~300 per crate
- Chipboards ~260 per crate
- Bark ~440 per ton
- Cooked (upgraded) foods
Get the greenhouse started & just check every so often for humidity levels. Once plants grown, cook the foods & sell for a profit. Same for fish.Take advantage of James loaning his truck to you for moving many of the crates to the large mill complex. Note: do not sell the wood chips, since they are much more profitably used for the chipboards. It takes 200kg wood chips for each crate of chipboards. And the wood chips are not removed from the storage bin (next to dryers) until the crate is actually made.
I build up a stockpile of planks & chipboards to haul to the Large mill complex. So when have James truck to use, I can make quite a few loads to haul.
Yes you can use the "sleep a week" to jump ahead in time for the dryers. I believe some say they sleep a week + 3 days, then the loads are dry.
I like to keep enough planks on hand to fill the driers that are about to become available soon, but no more then that, as that gives no benefits. The wet planks still give a decent 1050 per load, which helps get the debt down a bit faster. I also chose to focus on buying better equipment, which also helps speed things up.
I got the better tractor and log trailer as soon as I could afford them, and that really speeds things up. The tractor can go 10-15 kph faster then the crappy old tractor, and the trailer can carry at least twice as many logs as the old crappy one can. Between them and focusing on the nearby lots first, I've been able to get almost enough logs stockpiled in the water to keep my mill busy with them for almost 24 hours straight!
Also, the better bulk carrier trailer helps with hauling the bark more efficiently.
- 70kg Bark
- 25kg Saw dust
- 0.5 Planks
Selling price for Bark is $440/ton, which takes 28.6 logs to acquire. From these same logs you will get 14 plank crates that are worth $4,200
So once you include all the products for sale:
- 14 Plank crates = 4,200
- 1 load of Bark = 440
- 3.6 OSB crates = 930
You will net a total of 5,570 funds for everything by the time you have the one load of bark ready to haul to market.i tryed to sell some chipboards at the hardware store but the game wouldn´t let me sell the chipboards at all.
This guide has a map location & some images of selling locations:

NOTE: The wood chips storage bin (on side next to dryers) does not empty to make OSB (chipboard crates) until the actual crate is made. It takes 200kg wood chips per crate. If you use ES (Engineer's Sight) inside the Chip board production plant, it tells you how many can be made. But the wood chips don't actually get used until the crate is created at the production plant. So in other words, don't sell your wood chips, since they can be used to make OSB, which is worth more than selling just the wood chips alone.
