Keep having to repair same spot over and over
Working on the seed ladies house. I've been wasting so many planks. I do a wall, come back and it's unfinished again... redo it go around the house and it's unfinshed again... I'm wasting SO many planks. Why is this happening? I feel I'm playing Wac-a-mole game.. Edit - I've done the little triangle parts above garage 4 times now... grrrr

If you didn't complete it and switch to another tool, it gets undone. My guess is, there is a sneaky hammer somewhere

Thanks for the reply. Does it matter that I am using wet wood? Everything I can find says no. The cabins I built didn't seem to have any issues...???

Do one section.
Build a scaffold & remove the scaffold.
If it becomes unfinished again. You are missing a hammer.

What's difficult is the hammers disappear when I get near and then as I move away they reappear randomly

So I am on one side of the house and I get all the hammers I can see. Move around and more appear. As I approach them, they disappear. I move back and around, they reappear. As I approach them, they disappear. On top of that, I can look through the house and see like 6 hammers on other side (can't reach them inside house) and when I go over to that side they show as being on the other side (can't reach them from that side either). Am I stupid here or going crazy?

It's like I am supposed to be able to get inside but can't. There are like 10-15 hammers I can't reach or become "undone" over and over

OMG... was I supposed to do the BARN and not the house? ... re-read the quest and that looks to be the case... reloading and seeing... if so, how embarrassing

Nope, it was fix them house... may have to skip this one.. but really wanted the seeds

Reloaded a save from before the mission and started over. Setup all the scaffolds and climbed on the roof above the garage I think. Did the whole (triangle) wall and ran out of boards. Turned to get more and looked back. Entire wall was undone. 10-12 planks gone.

planks are planks, there is no difference between the wet and dry ones when rebuilding, they do matter for selling and furniture factory

Very frustrated. Turns out the house DOESN'T need planks even though they showed up as the option when I approached the house. Did the house twice and wasted two days (had to reload a save)... live and learn I guess :) short version - my bad

Occasionally you need you look at things at an odd angle to get to them. Like against a wall looking down the length and up.
Or some the hammers will be on top of a roof and some of them are bellow that roof.

It a good idea to keep your scaffolding up until the task is completed. Be sure to leave a way to get in and out of a building, as scaffolding will close doors that swing to the outside instead of to the inside.

Thanks for the tips... those hammers can be frustrating at times...
