OK So I was getting some boards for a job for James and I needed a new property so I bought the one across the street from the lumber mill and was cutting some trees down and this is what I got from 2 different trees. The first 4 (brown) were from one tree the other white ones were from another tree. Does the board color indicate type of wood or why did these last 2 come out white compared to the others??

Also he wanted the job done pretty fast if I remember right does it matter if I use wet boards for jobs compared to dry or does drying only matter when selling the boards??

Yes, the different trees result in boards with different colours. They can also later be used to produce furniture in different wood colours. With engineer's sight it also tells you from which tree they are.

At the moment you should still be able to use wet boards, as far as I know.

Thanks that' sort of what I figured as made no sense I noticed once it was installed on the cabin the color changed back to brown.

And cool yeah just having started yesterday didn't have any100% dry wood yet in fact didn't have any when I started this last batch except little left over from another job as didn't have my second property until this last task so no time to dry it out.
