Riding mower question

To anyone that has used the riding mower, does it collect clippings/hay?

I'm getting tired of collecting it by hand..especially on large fields.

Does anyone know if the lawnmower picks up the cut grass (hay) or do you still have to do it by hand like after using the motor sense weed cutter.

I was wondering about this too. So it's just a status symbol or a cheap teleport vehicle?

No, it does not. In RL I'd never buy a mower that didn't have grass catcher capability. Apparently the devs don't cut their lawns.

No it does not, but during one of the Publisher streams. The chat bounced some ideas about making the hay go into the players inventory as well. SK said he would look into that. Found the video. I'd be ok with the weed-eater leaving clipping and the mower gathering. It makes more sense to me.

What would make sense is to be able to just buy hay bales from a vendor or just let the cows out of the barn and let them mow the grass for you.

I used the ride on mower in Farmers Dynasty as a teleport. They are only useful on flat ground. It would be fun doing the trimming job for Lily the one that is the herbalist where you have to do down the side near the falls. With the motor sense you end up having to use jump to get up the hillside. Building the tower is even more fun with no safety harness. Round and round to get dizzy then just reach out for the hammer. OOOps.

If it is possible to get it up there. It would be nice to park it on the tower as you progress up the tower. So when you need a new pallet of planks (Or fall off the tower.) you could teleport back up the tower.

Just to add insult to injury on this subject, the grass and weeds grow back after some time.
I spent SOOO much time clearing the area or the farm, mill and the huge field across the street...especially picking up all that grass by hand. Then it all grew back. This is a realism facet I could have done without. It drives me crazy to see all that high grass and weeds around my land.

Trimmer is defently faster and easier. W,S and mouse versus W, S, A, and D. Plus if you hold down the shift key you run with the trimmer instead of walking with the trimmer.

Both machines look like they cut the same size path.
Since the mower is pictured with a rear-bagger it should put the clippings in your inventory automatically. Or at least store about 200 Kg of clippings that you can click on to add to your inventory. (Or pull the mower into the barn to empty the clippings.)
