cant buy tree planter, cant progress.

why cant i buy the tree planter? when i go to the store its there but its not fully rendered? like its a low poly version, same with the stump grinder. what is going on? i cant do the big fish quest without it so im stuck!

You have to pay off uncle first. Then you get a quest from Logan and the skill to plant trees. At that point you will also be able to buy the machines for it.

hold on though, i already have a quest from logan to plant the trees at the back of his house? am i missing something? why give me a quest that i cant possibly finish? im confused.

You have the quest, but you can't continue before you get the skill.

I feel you. This was one of my low points as well. I slept for weeks and made food, then bought the factory first. Once you have the factory money is easy. Others have shared their tips for making money here. Can't hurt to take a look.

I have never used Cheat engine in my entire gaming history until this game. I just had to use it to add 150k so I could buy the furniture factory.

Otherwise it would have just been too much for me and i would have given up playing. It is slightly easier when you can make furniture rather than relying on cooking and selling wood planks for tiny amounts.

I didn't, because it would make bug testing impossible. But I have to admit that, this once, I was tempted. All the more proud that I got it done without.

I'm still working my way towards the furniture factory but the game looks likes it opens up once you have it. I'm looking forward to it.

I wish there was a quest in Chapter 2 that gave you access to the furniture factory to help you pay off your uncle.

Some people have suggested to make the big building project quest available in chapter 2. It would make sense, since uncle suggests that it will help you pay him off (after you paid him). So, maybe the devs will change that. I agree with those who suggested it. It would make sense and reduce the frustration level during the empty grind phase.

Чтобы заработать на покупку мебельной фабрики продавая доски, нужно вырубить почти все леса! Я срубила 3 леса с дубами и березами полностью и заработала на досках 50 000! Чтобы заработать 199 000 значит надо вырубить еще 12 лесов большой площадью, но таких мало. Значит мне придется вырубать еще больше лесов и не везде растут дубы и березы. В основном растут сосны. А они очень дешевые при продаже. Я считаю что покупка лесопилки должна быть финалом, и жена и дети должны помогать в этом. Помогать должны и квесты. Но покупая лесопилку, игра заканчивается. Очень жаль, что разработчики об этом не подумали.

I never get this...why rush? Once you get this, then that, and there is nothing left to do you will be off to drop another chunk of your (or mommies) hard earned monies and probably want to rush new game as well.

Not really. It's true for completing that quest. But you can buy the stump grinder and the the tree planter as soon as you can afford them. They hook up to Oliver's old tractor. (You can buy tree saplings to plant from the guy standing near where you sell bark chips and pallets.) When you cut all the trees in a forest you need to remove the old stumps and plant new trees to keep cutting trees from that forest. (The exception being the magic spruce across the street from your house. Which grows back every time you load a saved game.)

You only get the skill for it with Logan's quest after you pay uncle off. If you could buy and use them before that, that would be a bug (like the magic zombie spruce).
