Making Furniture

Can someone explain to this dumb lumberjack how to make furniture?

1. I bought the furniture factory.
2. I brought a truckload of dried planks to the factory.

My issue(s):

1. Where do I put the wood?
2. Should I have a forklift there to haul the wood inside? Or does it just "appear" once it's off the flatbed truck?

1. Left side of factory... drop planks with crane and it's all...
2. No need, wood come on computer and after production, just pick up finished products outside...

OK. I made a bunch of furniture. I took one piece and headed off to the furniture store to sell it. There's a black-and-orange striped rectangle on the ground, where it says to drop the furniture. Trouble is, when I call up the piece in my inventory, it stays orange, and doesn't turn green so as to drop it.

If you only make one, you can only put that in your house. You have to make crates of furniture to sell at the furniture store.

By crates, you mean several of the same type? Then I'm hosed. I made one of each of that long list on the computer, and they're all sitting outside.

Seems I may have to revert to a previous save and try again.

I just tried testing the "make on piece for the house" function and I'm not getting the button to roll over like it does for the crates. Did this function go away with the .48i update? I can make crates all day long, but no singles of any type of furniture.

AHH! I'm shelving the game for now, until the "final" release next month.

You can sell individual pieces at any vendor, just not the furniture shop.

Ummm...not betting on the release either being next month nor 'final'. I can't see how, in light of the time it took to do the past updates, that they can finish off everything by end of January. Just not at all realistic nor evidenced by past performance.
