Where Do I Buy Seeds and/or Saplings?
I know buying seeds was removed in an earlier update but I always thought the plan was to eventually bring it back, and now there's the saplings and replanting, but I can't find anywhere to buy any of that stuff. What store or NPC sells them? Is there some specific quest I need to complete to "unlock" them? All I know is they were added to the game a few weeks ago, but nothing about how to get them.

If I can help it is much easier to follow a missing sheep quest because your reward after you have returned the missing sheep to it's owner will be seeds and a few euros. The saplings can be bought where you sell all your wood planks, bark and logs. There is a guy standing there who sell the saplings.

I am aware of the missing sheep quests, the seeds I get from those are the only ones I have, and they're "random" I have no control over what I get, and so far everyone seems to want to just give me melon seeds, I've got about 300 of them and barely any of some of the other seeds I need, that's why I'm wondering about being able to buy seeds being added back in, so I can get specific seeds I need and not just have to keep hoping at least one of the random quests just happens to be a missing sheep quest and then hope the random seeds just happens to be the specific kind of seeds I'm looking for.

What person? I don't see anyone standing in there, the place is empty, except for the pine planks and assorted roof tiles.

Eric at lumber market sells saplings.

Is there some specific time of day he's supposed to be in? I've never seen anyone there. Or does that mean my game is bugged?

If you drive into the lumber market from the east side, drive straight and he stands at the first building on the left.

ah, I think I know the guy you're talking about now. I thought I'd already talked to him but I may not have since the updates.

EDIT: Also, I just realised, the place I was looking for them at was the hardware store, not the lumber market. For some reason I was thinking of something I want to BUY and just saw BUY planks and now I'm looking back and it's SELL planks. Been driving past that guy countless times.

Do I need any special gear to plant the saplings, or can I do it by hand? Gonna be a while before I can afford any special machinery if that's required. Especially since I'm going to have to replay a portion of my game since my last session didn't save, even though I clicked "Save" and the game gave the "saving game" message and everything, but when I loaded later that day, I was at the last autosave when I'd just finished a bush trimmer job. That was frustrating. Don't remember what all I did after that but an entire session gone is very frustrating.

Unfortunately you need to buy a tractor and a tree planter that you can buy at the vehicle shop to plant the saplings. About your saving the game make sure that you get the GAME SAVED message at the end of the save.

The stump grinder and sapling planter do not come available to buy until you get to the last mission- Dirty Matters. They are at the equipment sales place in the back but cannot buy until then. Strongly suggest buying furniture factory as soon as you can (makes paying off uncle much easier) and buying upgrades on equipment.
I think I'm far enough along that it would actually be faster for me to just pay my uncle off and progress the story then to save up for the furniture factory. I'd need 199,000 to get that and I think I'm down to about 179,000 or something like that on my uncle.

Furniture factory is MUCH faster to gain money. Even after paying uncle you will have to grind money for furniture again. Virtually nothing changes money-wise after paying him off.

Buy the furniture workshop, then your money problems are over. I saved and bought it and I think in 4 or 5 sessions had paid off uncle, bought the Scorpion, and am back up to around 80k. The place prints money.

I'm about half way through paying my uncle and didn't have the furniture factory until just recently as even an option. I am planning on getting it up ASAP. It came in just after I'd spent all my money on some new wood lots so I could keep a steady supply of trees for planks. Then the value of all my planks was dumped way down on me, so I'm kind of having to get that sorted out. Now I've got nearly 100 pallates all drying under every bit of roof I can find at the lumber mill, and will probably be working on filling up the garage back at the house, and maybe the barn and workshop I can't yet use for anything else anyways. Then it's a matter of waiting and seeing just how much I get from all that when it's ready to sell. Then I can work out what I'll do next. Until I've rebuilt my money supply, any talk of buying anything is moot.

I am definitely looking to get the factory as soon as I can, but I'm also wanting to move the story along to the point where I can start planting trees too, so I can start replenishing the empty woodlots as well. There's definitely a lot options to balance and weigh all of a sudden.
